Crystal decanter with silver neck and stopper
This crystal decanter with a silver neck stands out for its particularly stylized silhouette, formed by a rounded-profile body that extends into a tall, narrow neck. The piece measures 10 x 10 x H34.5 cm and retains its independent crystal stopper.
The transparency of the container allows its decoration to be clearly appreciated. Around the lower part, there are botanical motifs featuring leaves, branches, and small clusters of grapes, while elongated elements develop toward the neck, visually accompanying the tapering of the piece.
The mouth is finished with a silver rim, which has a smooth and shiny surface. The crystal stopper is placed on top, its oval head featuring different vertical facets that produce reflections when light hits it.
By typology, the function of a decanter is related to decanting, presenting, and serving beverages. Depending on the drink, the transfer may also respond to service requirements, such as aerating certain wines or separating potential sediments. However, we do not attribute any specific beverage to this piece for exclusive use.
To compare another interpretation of this type of container, a 30 cm cut crystal decanter with stopper, with a significantly wider body and different geometric decoration, is currently available at Cositas Antiguas.
Botanical decoration with leaves and grape clusters
One of the features worth observing closely is the decorative treatment of the crystal.
In the widest area, there are botanical compositions formed by leaves and clusters of small circular shapes representing grapes. The motif is particularly consistent with a vessel linked to beverage service, although we do not have information to attribute it to a specific meaning, manufacturer, or period.
The decoration does not completely cover the surface. Wide transparent areas remain, so the design becomes more perceptible depending on the lighting and the background placed behind the decanter.
Its circular base provides support for a body that begins rounded and rises gradually toward a very narrow neck. This transition is responsible for its marked verticality.
Within the store, it can be compared with the crystal liquor bottle with silver neck and cut stopper, which shares the combination of crystal, silver, and independent stopper, but uses a much more compact quadrangular structure.
Silver neck and faceted crystal stopper
The upper area introduces a material different from crystal: the silver neck specified for this piece.
The metallic finish surrounds the mouth and presents a shiny surface that widens slightly toward the top. It functions visually as a transition between the long transparent neck and the stopper.
The stopper is made of crystal and can be completely removed. Its head is elongated, close to an oval, and worked with several longitudinal facets. In the photographs, it appears both placed and separated, which also allows for observation of the part that is inserted into the mouth of the container.
If you are specifically looking for other pieces that combine both materials, this 23 cm cut crystal liquor bottle with silver neck is also available.

A decanter for service or for display in the liquor cabinet
With its 34.5 cm height, this piece presents more vertical proportions than many compact liquor bottles. It can be placed on a sideboard, a display cabinet, a tray, or a home bar, either accompanied by glasses or individually.
Its combination of transparent crystal, botanical decoration, silver neck, and faceted stopper also allows it to be kept on display when empty.
If you wish to restore its practical function, we recommend that, before introducing any beverage, you perform an appropriate cleaning and a check of the interior condition, the stopper, and its suitability for food contact, which is especially advisable for any second-hand item.
In the Cositas Antiguas crystal, ceramic, and porcelain collection, other liquor bottles, decanters, and service pieces can currently be found to form a glassware set.
