Blue blown glass decorative bell with gold details
This blue blown glass decorative bell is a small ornament designed to be hung to add color to cabinets, windows, decorative compositions, or corners where light can partially pass through the glass.
It measures 7 x 7 x H8 cm, making it a compact piece that is easy to integrate both independently and alongside other small crystal objects.
Its body features an intense translucent blue hue. Distributed across the lower part are different areas painted in green, outlined by raised gold lines. The design appears to form a small scene with a central building, plant elements, and a figure reminiscent of a palm tree.
To discover other objects made of crystal and decorative glass, you can continue through the Cositas Antiguas crystal, ceramic, and porcelain collection, one of the extensive sections of the catalog.
A small crystal ornament designed for hanging
The top of the bell ends in a ring formed from the glass itself, which allows a cord to be passed through to suspend the piece.
It currently retains a yellow cord knotted in that area. This makes it easy to imagine it hanging in a small decorative composition, although the buyer can replace it with another cord or ribbon if they want to adapt the color to the place where it will be placed.
It can be used, for example, near a window where natural light passes through the blue of the glass, inside a display cabinet, suspended from a small stand, or as part of a collection of crystal objects in different colors.
Due to its hue, it can also be related to the cobalt blue crystal collection, where the catalog gathers other blue pieces with different functions and decorations.
Blue, green, and gold in a single piece
The color combination is likely the most recognizable aspect of this bell.
Blue occupies almost the entire body, while the green areas are concentrated at the bottom. The gold outlines and small decorative elements create contrast and define the different figures.
The motif does not appear to be purely geometric. In the photographs, shapes can be identified that resemble a small construction or building, leaves, and an element similar to a palm tree. However, we do not have sufficient information to identify that scene with a specific place or representation.
The same contrast between intense blue and gold details appears in other pieces in the catalog, such as the cobalt blue and gold crystal vase, although it is a piece of completely different size and function.
Is it a functional bell or an ornament?
Because of its shape, we can call it a bell, but in this listing, I would present it primarily as a decorative hanging ornament.
Inside, there is a small element suspended by a dark cord, similar in arrangement to the clapper of a bell. However, the photographs do not allow us to determine what sound it produces or if that was its primary purpose.
Therefore, I would not promise a specific sound function.
Its main interest today lies in the blue blown glass, the pictorial decoration, and its potential for being hung.
It can also accompany other blue crystal pieces on a cabinet or sideboard. For example, the store has a cobalt blue crystal candy dish, which shares the chromatic intensity although its design and function are different.

A small touch of color for cabinets and compositions
At only 8 cm tall, this bell allows you to introduce color without needing much space.
The blue glass is especially interesting when it receives light, as it generates different intensities and reflections depending on the angle from which it is viewed. The green paint and gold details add a second decorative layer that is best appreciated up close.
It can be kept hanging, displayed inside a cabinet, or combined with other blue crystal objects. Also appearing in the catalog is a cobalt crystal set with gold details, another useful reference for creating a decorative grouping based on blue and gold.
